General Information:
I came to PrecisionEffect having known Steve from before (;)) and decided to give his services a try. Clearly things worked out well for both ends, having been a long-time customer. I am known to some to jump hosts just because, so I was rather surprised that I was able to last as long as I did. I also found out just earlier this week that it seems as Steve and Dave have sold their services off and more than likely exited the web hosting business. I only found out after I saw my credit statement and a random name under the charge for which I pay per month. I am sure the new company will do fine, although I do not know much of their history. Onto the specifics.

Support:
To be honest, I can not really give out a fair rating here, as my web sites were not complex and I am able to figure out even the best of problems I may have faced over the 46 months of hosting. I may have submitted one to five tickets over the years but I think may be gone following their change of help desk software. I think one situation was figuring out how to enable a folder with .htaccess I believe. Pretty quick, otherwise I cannot really comment on the support as I did not require much of it.

Speed:
I have none nor have heard any complaints while accessing my web site(s). I have held several large video files from either making clips from games or videos from my friends band, and have had successful download speeds ranging around 10 to 30mb/s up to 80. The site speed itself was rather fast too. I did not have problems with load speeds during my long tenure.

Price:
I have found their prices, even from the beginning to be solid. Even before things between myself and the host grew better over time. They have increased their prices over the year or so, but given my past history, I would have paid it regardless, knowing what I was getting in return, even though they honoured the original price.

Service:
Their service offers everything that I want and need ranging from features like Installatron (Fantastico to cPanel users), as well as databases, email etc. I was somewhat skeptic at first, because for years prior, I have always used cPanel due to it being a great panel for what I wanted. At the time they were using Plesk so this was new territory and to be honest, had no issues with it. I believe they are now operating a customized DA panel but I am not entirely sure as my domains are still under the Plesk environment.

Closing Statements:
Regardless of the change in ownership, I probably would have stayed as I still did not suffer any changes and it seems like a seamless transition. I only did change as I wanted a change in scenery and to return to cPanel for own personal reasons. I have no regrets over my tenure with PE and could even return some day later if a situation arises. I have recommended them in the past on WHT and elsewhere and would continue doing so. I have now returned to HawkHost, but that review is for another day ;)
