NBA Season 2009/10

Posted on October 29, 2009

Hey folks, thought I’d swing in and try to get this active again. As we all know, the 2009/10 NBA season has arrived and come out in full force. I’m going to drop some random predictions and see where we end up at the end of the season.

Great win by the Lakers on opening night, as well as the great ring ceremony to kick things off. I thought the team did well and can only continue improving as we make our way through the season.

Watching the Cleveland/Boston game, I thought the Cavs came out strong but over the following three quarters, completely ran out of gas and cost them at the end, with Boston taking a six point win.

Making matters worse, Cleveland went to Toronto the next night and suffered I believe a 21 point deficit at one point, losing 101-91 in the end, giving Toronto a huge win to start their new season. I feel like the sky is the limit for the new Raptors and only hope the best for them.

Onto the random predictions:

Los Angeles Lakers will not win the 2009/10 championship. They will however, make it to the Semi-Conference finals, losing to the San Antonio Spurs.
Allen Iverson will get the MVP award this season.
Cleveland will not make the postseason.
Toronto will take sixth in the Eastern conference, ending their season with a second round defeat.
Phoenix, Denver, Utah, Lakers, San Antonio, Sacramento, Dallas and Memphis will make the Western conference postseason.
Boston, Toronto, Orlando, Chicago, New Jeresy, Atlanta, Detroit and Philadelphia will make the Eastern conference postseason.
Los Angeles Clippers will win 40+ games.
Stephen Curry will receive the Rookie of the Year honours.

So there are some random predictions for this season. Let us see how they turn out, haha. Totally pulled these straight out of my ass :)

Take care.
